John Poole of Geekbench joins Guy and Rene to talk how he got started, that Apple A9 thing, the state of the silicon, and what's coming next.
Aaron and Brian return for a Christmas miracle and record a podcast for their loyal 5 listeners who message them every now and then asking if we'll ever do another one. They talk about Morrissey, Police Academy, and Buffalo. Music (as always) provided by The Tastydactyls, because it wouldn't be the same otherwise.
What? We have to do this crap every week? It's easy to forget just how much of a pain this podcasting lark is. After a brief Royal Rumble celebration, our cabin dwellers get stuck into a slew of strange stories from around the world. Along the way they discuss the poetic verse of HOVA, Craig List faux pas, The Rev's status as a sex object in the gay community, and lots more nonsense that you have come to expect from two barely educated Irish lads. Seriously, pHitzy can't count past the number...
Yes, despite being about 2 weeks late, the show is here! Sound isn't amazing, quality isn't amazing. But you know what? It's f---ing here! The issues with putting them up turned out to be a simple click of a button too many. Aaron will be whipped mercilessly for penance. So as long as you don't forget that what we're talking about happened last month, I think you might enjoy this one. Expect another show soon to make up for our tardiness.
We're back. A new year, the same old s---. The boys had a little end of year revue and talk about some of the things that they remember about ‘07. We give some shout outs to a few peeps at QuickStopEntertainment.com and a little oath to come back a bit more regularly now that the festive (drunken) season is over. And if you don't get some of the in-jokes... I'm sorry, we hadn't seen each other in a while and things get out of hand. It'd take far too long to explain what we're talking about....
Aaron returns from his trip to Disneyland Paris and finds that not everything is quite so magic at Le Royaume Magique. This reminds pHitzy of all the lamer aspects of spending the summer in NYC, and the two cabin boys piss and moan ad nauseam. Misery loves company, and podcasting apparently.
Our cabin-girl Shona returns from the wilderness to add some quantity to the proceedings, but not necessarily any quality. This leads to talk of what not to do when urinating, some line treading on the subjects of our gay listeners, and Top 5 prospective lovers. Jonathan Coulton plays the team out, and for the second week in a row a 60 second review arrives on time. There is too much going on in this show these days...
Our demented duo return after a short hiatus and, due to rustiness, the episode gets off to the worst of starts - mics aren't switched on, audio is lost, and everything that can go wrong does until take 3. Undaunted, they manage to squeeze out an hour of infotainment regarding 13-year old geniuses, incarcerated donkeys, and the diplomatic power of Hello Kitty. All this, and they also manage a second installment of the much-lauded "taste test" segment, focusing this time on the almost...
Cabin Fever 26 was the greatest episode the guys have ever recorded. It had thrills, chills, and enough laughs to fill the stomachs of 7 small elephants. They discussed POLICE ACADEMY, the questionable nature of The Brady Bunch family life, plus they finally started their long awaited Cúpla Focal As Yiddish segment. Unfortunately, due to a technical error (Aaron spilled coffee on the mixer), the entire show was lost to the darkness, never to be heard by mortal ears. So instead, two days later,...
Brian couldn't pull himself from the brink of death in time this week to record the best darn podcast fake money can buy, so Aaron recruits internet entrepreneur and man-about-town Widgett Walls to add a certain level of class and random knowledge to the proceedings. Topics of getting TV wrong, 12-year-old fathers, and kissing bans are all broached with gusto, and Aaron actually remembers to include the song at the end of the show this week, too! So thanks to yaG Backwards for their patience.
Everyone's favourite cabin dwellers discuss the finer points of this summer's South African football fiesta, from the vuvuzela phenomenon, to the controversy over the new ball. They also mull over the newest batch of housemates on Big Brother, which begins its final season.
Aaron and Brian go through their Top 10 albums of the last 10 years. Stories are shared and conspiracies dissected as they try to figure out why some bands went bad and why others just keep getting better. Super bonus extra long episode!
There are men on this week's podcast. Manly men. Talking about manly things. In fact, there is so much manliness I can't finish this introduction for fear that I'd be talking too much... like a woman...
This week the guys open up the floor to the listeners and let them chime in on The Greatest Movie Ever, with varying results. They also discuss Insane Ian Bonds' new album, n3rds0ngs, as well as parody music in general, and everyone's favourite 60 second music review makes a welcome return... of sorts.
Aaron and Brian have a quick chat about LOST, a short mention of Dio, and then a very long rant about TWILIGHT. Feel the hatred.
The Cabin boys try to discuss podcasting but end up scaring themselves with talk of absolutely nothing. Seriously, none of this makes sense. Aaron cries, Brian feels queasy and you the listener will just feel confused. Or angry. We don't know yet.
I wrote this 3 days after the hand that feeds came out. What I did was tok samples from teh bits of teh song that had no lyrics tehn jsut looped them as a quiet backing track to follow the rest of the instrumentation.

This article is from Journal of the American Heart Association: Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease , volume 2 . Abstract Background: Compared with whites, black Americans suffer from a disproportionate burden of cardiovascular disease (CVD). We hypothesized that racial differences in the prevalence of CVD could be attributed, in part, to impaired vascular function in blacks after adjustment for differences in risk factor burden. Methods and Results: We assessed vascular function in 385...

This week the lads come totally unprepared, even forgetting to plug in their mics for the first ten minutes of recording. A trip to the thrift shop supplies them with cheap but tasty biscuits to munch throughout, serving as perfect fuel for discussions on the Beijing Olympics, folks' fear of spiders, beer cans from around the world, Aaron's growing Russophobia, the sad loss of two legends in two days, and the imminent return of the Premier League. Due to popular demand, music is provided...
It's been a long day for the boys. Hectic schedules equal low energy reserves. However, it doesn't diminish the odd conversation. We have a welcome return of the "You Put What Where?" section, talk of fake appendages, and then engage in a rather embarrassing attempt to make sense of an air-pump/rectum incident.
The Cabin boys are joined by their loyal friends Shona and Bruce to help with a large and intimidating taste test of Chinese and Thai "delights". They announce the details of their video competition (or, at least, they tell you where you can get them), and once again they have to apologise for the crappy sound. It's becoming a habit.
The Cabin boys continue to uphold their new year's resolution of being on time, despite more technical follies. Book-ended with the worst/best musical attempts you've ever heard (delete as appropriate), the boys talk about animal madness, cultural ignorance, and beg once again for you to love them. We apologize now for Aaron's singing.
As if his abandonment issues weren't bad enough, Brian was left to fend for himself this week. And so, along with guest-host Shona Conway, he went out the night before in order to drown his sorrows. The following 40-minutes are a result of their shared hangovers. Expect bile to be spat about sexuality, nakedness, transsexualism, novelty panties, fight-starting lesbians and fish tacos. Also, there's a belt of something awkward in some poor unfortunate's hair for good measure.
This week's show is a little bit crazy. Aaron decides to take over musical duties, resulting in the rocking of the cheapest instrument ever. You can stop the madness by sending your songs or getting in touch on our myspace page (myspace.com/cabinfeverradio). Brian has to face his prejudices against the perfectly nice actor Josh Peck. This battle gets a little ugly. Needless to say, there may one day be a re-match. This one was recorded on the day of the Oscars so don't laugh at us if we're...
Aaron and Brian take a dive into listener submitted news stories and manage to unearth a couple of gems among the dirt infested puss bags. Songs are shared and personal gripes aired. But the episodes from 2008 were probably better...
Aaron was at DragonCon alone and had to find a guest host to replace Brian for this week. Realising 1 person could not fill Brian's shoes, he enlists a mini podcast army. Zac and Weller from Misinformation plus JJ and Jason from Mars Need Podcasts come together in a supersize team-up bonanza. They discuss DragonPros and cons and identity issues. Music provided by Le Sexoflex.
This week, Brian and Aaron are joined by the puppet master Ken Plume. He manages to pull the strings and direct conversation through fairy museums, movies, and harmonica dueling. Music is provided by the sexiest band on earth, Le Sexoflex, and the most illegal Los Fahina.
